Why 2867

We exist to give extraordinary Illinois alumni a common institutional home.

2867 is an invitation-only network of University of Illinois alumni operating at the highest levels of technology, capital, science, entrepreneurship, entertainment and culture. The membership is small by design, and it is built to last.

  1. Build things that outlast you.The University was founded for the long run. So are we.
  2. Help first.Members answer when another member calls, without an accounting of favors.
  3. Say less.What is shared within 2867 stays within 2867.
  4. Bring people up.Every member is expected to find and sponsor the next generation of Illini.
